Just reading something about shadows, and I thought a little philosophically. So sue me.

You think about it. If you stand facing light, your shadow is behind you - and on your back. If you face away from it, the shadow is in front of you - on your face. If you are surrounded by light, it is not possible for shadows to exist. However, if you are surrounded by shadow, you do not cast a shadow at all.


If you live in the light of good people, they will influence you - for better or for worse. You might wish to be like them - reflect their light. Or, you could become the shadow to their light - they're dealing with it, so I can do whatever I want. It depends which way you face. If you face towards them, the light is on your face. If you face away, you see nothing but shadow. Also, if you face towards a person, two things can happen. If the light is on your face, then the shadow is on theirs. If the shadow is on your face, the light is on theirs.

If you live in the shadow of people, you yourself do not have a shadow. You cannot have shadow without light. That is simply darkness. There are no morals in darkness. Only the will to live. And if one person creates some light, then all others shall be in shadow. Unless they face the light. That's how rebellions start...

Of course, no one is completely good or bad. Half might be in the shadow, half in light. But whatever you have, you see the opposite in others. And just because your face is in the shadow, doesn't mean you are a bad person. The light is on your back, but when you see yourself, you see a bad person, while you see the light on others'.




OK. Can't think much anymore, and I feel like I've kind of gone off on a tangent. Anyway. I feel better now I've gotten that off my chest. Whew!
